Hello, I'm Sanjoy Samajdar, born on 8th November 1967. I pursued my BA(Hons) from Calcutta University. My journey with the tabla began back in my school days, as early as class 4. I still remember how, when I didn't have a proper tabla, I'd improvise using a wooden box, feeling the rhythms resonate within me.
Throughout my life, I never performed on grand stages or showcased my talent in significant events. For me, playing the tabla has always been more than a performance; it's been a cherished hobby, my sanctuary in leisure moments.
Now, having retired and with the internet connecting us in countless ways, I aspire to leave behind a legacy of my artistry before my time comes. Each beat on the tabla carries with it the essence of my passion and dedication, a testament to the love I've held for this art form.
